Two-color biscuits - Martisor
Mix the butter until it becomes frothy (it is recommended that the butter be at room temperature). The egg is mixed with powdered sugar. Add the butter, vanilla essence and vanilla sugar over the egg composition and mix well. Sift the flour and mix until a slightly sticky dough is obtained. If necessary, add a little more flour.
The dough is divided into two equal parts. In one of them is added the red food coloring. If you do not want to use dye you can replace it with cocoa. The resulting dough is wrapped in cling film and refrigerated for at least an hour.
After an hour, a white sheet and a red sheet are spread on the oiled table ... more pink than red. Roll out the dough, wrap it again in cling film and refrigerate for at least an hour. Then cut the roll into 1 cm thick slices, and place in a tray lined with baking paper. I got about 30 pieces. The ones like some biscuits were smaller because my roll didn't turn out perfect. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes.
After removing from the oven, leave the biscuits in the tray to cool for 5 minutes.
They are fragrant, fragile and ... cute!
